Hi,
I bought a small bag that you can strap around your shoulder about a month ago from a thrift store in Mendota, CA. It was pretty worn and looks like it might have been used to carry some sort of gun since it had what appeared to be shell holders. The bag is tan and has no markings except on the outside it has a symbol of a red diamond with wings. Any idea what the symbol means or what the bag might have been used for? Thanks in advance for any help. |

That would be either a Navy, or Marine paratrooper bag. The wings are jump wings, and that is a "canopy" (parachute) between the wings.
{edit part} You got a heck of a deal on that bag. |
