So everyone is out celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of Communism and the advent of Democracy and peace and unification and love and such...the world is a nicer place..
but.. there's a wall up around two small towns in Spain to keep ' undesirable' impoverished Africans from sneaking into the EU..okay,so no biggie.. but, there's the US with its wall across America to stop the Mexicans.. cost is running about $ 4 million a mile ..hasn't done much to stop guns going south and drugs coming north.. but..well, it ain't finished.. and then there's Israel.. with the biggest, baddest, most electronically monitored, electrified and scrutinized wall ever!.. funny that these walls are all in Democracies where freedom and liberty are the watchwords of society... well, it struck me as a bit odd.... I got Lady Gaga's autograph!! 'course, it's on a restraining order... |

Hmmm....tall fences make better neighbors. Better yet, taller fences, with broken glass cemented on top make for better neighbors.
I for one like having the border fence down here. Well worth the money. At least I can see where the money got spent this time. SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. The Marines are at war, America is at the mall. |

Well, there is that subtle difference of building walls to keep people out versus keeping people in.....
But, why quibble over little things like that.... |

More than 2,200 people have been killed in Juarez Mexico this year ( what? No News Show about that???? ) and everybody with a brain is moving out of El Paso Texas as well as many other border cities. Pro-immigration freaks can sing all the sobby stuff they want, but no wall can stop an investor from bailing out of a sunken ship. Nobody owes anybody anything. Remember that.
