Time replaced the American Flag with a tree in its latest issue why?

American liberals did after Vietnam what most Europeans did after WW1 they went beyond anti-war to the point of not being able to stand up against real evil like Hitler. Liberals are almost nowhere to be found in the fight against Islamic totalitarianism, and Democrats routinely dismiss the Bush administration's talk about the threat of Islamic terror as "scare tactics."

Like nearly all people who believe in a cause, they know that they have to fight some evil; after all, the world really seems threatened by something. Therefore, they have channeled their desire to fight threats to the world to fighting an enemy they perceive will destroy the it man-made carbon dioxide emissions.

Unfortunately, for the Marines it is much easier to fight global warming than to fight human evil. The Marines on Iwo saw their friends killed and dismembered or gave the ultimate sacrifice their lives. Only three of the flag raiser in the original photo survived the battle, and individuals who fight Islamists face death daily.

If you fight man-made carbon dioxide emissions, you receive huge grants to promote exaggerated environmental problems, an Academy Award and the Nobel Peace Prize. We have been told if we don’t replace all our light bulbs with those stupid silly straw like florescent bulbs will all drown when the polar ice melts. Scare tactics anyone?

If you fight global warming, you are not a hero equal to those who fought Japanese fascists and the Nazis.

BigFry-Great first post also welcome aboard we have some great people in here some are more grumpy than others but for the most part we have been posting together for sometime.It is sad that some lazy ass writer decides that a un-proven theory is more important than our Flag raiseing at IWO and the often used symbol to regenerate our US Marines in Battle and the sad fact that very few of our IWO Marines are now alive.
