A few things that should be considered before we think NK will be a pushover ..
one.. the people are fanatically devoted to their leader..
two .. we fling nukes .. they reciprocate ...
three .. we fling nukes .. and that radiation has to go someplace ... east it's Japan .. south it's South Korea .....not to mention any allied troops in the area .. and an air burst over pyongyang might play hell with its EM pulse on communications in the area ..
and not to be forgetten is a standing army of over a million .. with reserves of over 4.5 million .. now that's a lot of carpet bombing

one.. the people are fanatically devoted to their leader..
only because he has absolute control over them. (do as I say or you die)

two .. we fling nukes .. they reciprocate ...
assuming that his nukes are even launch capable, and that they would even function in the first place. Besides, he'll run out of nukes way before we will

we do have neutron bombs. remember those? leaves the area relatively radiation free within days. and the airburst over Pyongyang is designed to specifiaclly target thier communications in the area, as well as scare the living crap out of them. millions of troops?....thought thats what daisy cutters were designed for?

After 50 years of indoctrination he is their "beloved leader," .. they have never known freedom .., so they don't know what it is .. they only know the regimented life //

If they're not launch capable .. or functional .. why attack then .. and if the weapons are viable .. seoul .. pusan and Tokyo are gonna be very unhappy ...

Neutron bombs have a big draw back ..it kills eveybody .. that means they have no fear of death .. suddenly you have about 3 million folks in pyongyamng and abpout a million in nampo are very pissed off and ready to die .. also there aren't huge inventories of BLU-82's and MOABs around .. and they are great in open country (jungles, plains and deserts) but not that great in cities and mountnous areas .. plus the collateral damage would be a bitch ..
and somehow reports from the theatre of "half-a-million north koreans were killed today in nuclear attacks on the capital" .. might wear thin on the average american ...
