I fail to understand the need to come in and tell everyone they're childish or predict the site getting a bad name.

It's a freakin message board, for gawd's sakes.

Hey, HAL, or anyone, how do I put my sig in italics. I don't see a button for that or bold on the profile page?

My opinion is that they shouldn't even be an option.

If I'm correct, the Admin can set permissions to disallow polling until a member accrues a certain karma level.

I'll ask about that too.

To do italics, you type with your text inserted in between. Just type the first set of brackets, add your text and then type the last set of brackets as shown above.

Sounds like a good idea Hal.
Norm, I think it pathetic and immature to keep resurecting oneself on a message board.
Believe it or not bud, your not impressing anyone with your act(s). Yeah, it does give a message board a bad name.

1. Since you don't address the BS selective enforcement of the TOU over there, your opinion means zip.

2. You shouldn't pretend to speak for the choir. Stick to preaching to it.

3. What gives a message board a bad name is mods selectively enforcing TOU.

Be honest: Do you think that GW, stevenford and so many others who violate TOU with impunty are deserving of their "special status? If so, why?

Do you think it is fair that the above folks get to launch personal attacks but the person they attack gets banned for responding in kind? If so, why?

Just a comment:

A little reality blast here: We are basically anonymous posters in cyberspace, which is not a place, but a technological thing.

It is only 'something' if we make it so. Now, I know that HAL (the original one as well) doesn't believe that.

But c'mon this ain't anything to lose sleep over.

When you have one board with multiple banned members with things to say and another board where people can do exactly that with impunity, you have a recipe for a damnned good time.

I'm glad to be here and I say nothing is off limits. Why should it be. Somebody have something to hide? Like say... their face?

No more censorship.
No more opressive Mods.
No more attack dogs.
No more cheerleaders
No more Clicks
No more treating human beings like pieces of shit
No more gag orders
No more BS.

Awesome.

Everyone knows who I am.

Norm, I have seen many, many people be given warnings on Mil.com. Heck I have had a couple lately myself. I heeded them and all is good.
Matter of fact even people you mention have been, and have Heeded the warnings.
I do not speak for Mil.com or for the Moderators. I speak for myself about how I feel on any given subject that I feel strongly about.
You have been acting like a spoiled little brat who has his favorite toy taken away. Your persistant disruptive behavior was your doom, nothing more, nothing less.
I do not agree with evryone there, never have. I was a Moderator/Admin on a very active Political Site last year. I have a pretty good idea how difficult that job can be. I do not know how they reach the decision to ban someone there, and it is none of my buisness. I do know, you had it coming, you deserved it, and you will keep getting banned there as long as you keep going there.
As to personalities, I am not going to get into discussing others there except to say this, I respect GW and Stevenford a whole lot more than I do you. I respect their Service, andwhat they have to contribute in discussions. Don't always agree with them by any means, but you very think that maybe, just maybe you brought it upon yourself with them? Of course not, it is always the other guys fault with you isn't it?
There are only a couple people here that were banned that I "miss". You aren't one of them.

You're only going to continue to pretend that there is no old boy's club there, so there's no point to further dicussion with you. Especially, if all your going to do is fullfil your need to lecture.

Buh-bye.

Whatever Norm, see you or one or more of the "mature crowd" are still at it. Y'all just don't get it. You wear this as some badge of honor, patting each other on the back like a bunch of school kids who pulled a Prank on their teacher. I am so impressed, NOT! Roll Eyes

Norm, noticed you just told AlphaDog to let it go on another issue. Why not take your own advice? Ok for you to tell people what to do, but not for you to be told? The good old "Do as I say, not as I do" routine? Pathetic man, take your owned damned advice and let it go.
