Firstly Hello, My name is Travis Perry I joined the navy in november, and I'm currently in DEP for about two months (I ship out june 13th)
I think reality finally hit me that I was in the military just a few days ago when I said to myself "two months left" (and realizing how fast this month went by) I of course have many questions about my own future and maybe even my rate (AS = aviation support equipment technician) as well as hearing stories of the men I apparently serve with. I honestly can't wait till boot camp and intend on serving till death himself drags me away from the military maybe this forum can help me pass two months time. HOOYAH |

HOOYAH is an Army thing, OOHRAH is a Marine thing, an Liberty Call, Liberty Call, Liberty Call is a Sailor thing!
Sailors don't use short words....Aye, Aye Sir! Better yet, Sweepers, Sweepers,....Man your brooms, give the deck fore and aft a good sweepdown. Don't forget Anchor detail, Fantail watch, Paint Chipper details. By all means, ask your Chief when reporting aboard to have him show you the SeaBat, and its history. Jarheads can't handle whiskey? Only Wild Turkey, as it has historically given me a big mouth an black eyes everytime I drank it. I only order wild turkey when I'm already good an pissed off so that I can finish up an already bad day good an proper. Hopefully there's a few sailors present as icing on the cake.
