I just finished up AIT and came across this website while browsing for military discussion boards.

I joined the Army Reserve at age 38 (after they raised the age limit), and turned 39 in BCT. My take on BCT/AIT is a little different than most, having experienced it with the benefit of life experience and wisdom.

DI's are DI's no matter what the branch of service. Ya got your good ones and ya gots yer bad ones....the most effective ones are the ones that scare the livin piss out of you!

Hi Miki:
I wanted to join and I am 44 yrs old. I have two years prior service (Marines) I cant seem to get a hold of a recruiter. Everytime I call they are not in the office and they never return calls. Did you have a hard time?
