About us.
Aims The aim of this forum is for Military enthusiasts and serving members of the military to discuss about current and historical military issues. This is a website where ones posting of his/her “own view” is encouraged. Topics largely discussed and talked about are the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many members of the website are ex- and serving members of the Military – this means that the knowledge and information is usually accurate and vast. There is a lot of Photo and Video posting from popular websites such as Youtube and Google video, also much unseen footage from members own personal archives is posted. The website has one of the most Extras We do not mind saying that this is one of the most advanced and well made forums on the internet. To start with each member has his/her own Personal Photo/Video albums. There is also a very good news site that is updated daily with the latest military news from Iraq and Afghanistan – the website holds many contacts from these warzones that provide detailed and up-to date information on top of that from well recognized News services. Staff The forum is staffed by highly experienced moderators and administrators that check regularly for violations in the rules. All moderators and Administrators hold the right to edit posts and kick members. However this does not mean that “big brother is watching you” and freedom of speech is encouraged. We all hope you enjoy the forums and contribute or just take in the information. Thanks Charlie |

Britishtroops-I went to the forum posted below and I will not return.I also watched the Viedo about the ambush I want ask you a question do you believe the witnesses and if so what is the purpose of bringing a web-site to a Military Forum where almost all here are US Military Retires.

I went to the site and thought it was rather well stocked and laid out very well. When I get the time i will likely join up. I have always enjoyed lively interaction with the Brits, but I may be a little biased in that as I was born in Liverpool. We'll do just fine as long as they haven't figured out how to 'skiff' you through the internet!

INcase youhavn't noticed i posted in favour of the yanks regarding the "afghan massacre" but to be honest i reckon most Brits are getting tired of constantly hearing on the news ABlue on Blu - US on Brits.
Also Sully in case you hadn't noticed lots of the site IS on US forces... So before you go charging in all guns blazing chill out for a bit and actually look at the website instead of Dismissing it as soon as you see the word British... |

Britishtroops- I have saw a lot of BBC news on BLU on BLU lately and frankly I am tired of the BS it seems everyone is blameing the US nothing about bad Communication. But my post was about investigations of a Massacre I don't like it worth a crap.I read about conviction before the fact every day here at home .I read about poor deprived Muslims in Airports when I look around I see my fellow Americans with fear in their eyes because those same Muslims decide they have the right to pray in a public place no matter what.

Sully, no I didn't review that particular vid.. yet. Only watched one and that was only to check out the functionality of the site. Worked as advertised even on my company computer.
As for the comments about Blue on Blue? If situations were reversed and we were on the receiving end all the time, we'd be screaming bloody murder as well. The Brits attitude to me is pretty much well justified. Although I do maintain the line of thought that one shouldn't conduct training exercises in a combat theater of operations as has occurred in the past. thegunny-The people that are bringing up Blu on Blu are the Media no the British Soldiers I have saw Blu on Blu first hand I have also saw how messy it is on two other occasions.No if it was turned around I would not see it any different.The only ones who see it different is the ones who has never saw it first hand.I ask you if you saw the veido of the Massacre account only and also said I would not go back.

Britishtroop-The word British never bothered me very much I was married to a Beautiful Brit for 48 years even though she was from B.C in Canada she was all British and her Family was the same so you are very wrong about my guns blazing.

Wasn't trying to set you off with my comments. Like I said, when I get the chance to view the video without my work getting in the way(read boss standing on my desk) I will and I'll let you know what I think of it. I myself have been on the recieving end of blu on blu from my own unit on two occassions. One put me in the hospital where they had to reinsert my right eye back into the socket and sew up both ear drums. My battalions gun crew smoked their lunch that day and didn't put all the powder charges in the 155mm howitzer round. It landed 30 feet behind me. Turned out it was the guy's that lived next door to me in the barracks. The second was my frigging 2nd Lt that ordered us into an impact area during live fire. We received incoming fire for about an hour mostly comprised of 50 cal rounds. Destroyed my field radio in the process. I had been hiding behind it only minutes before I found a big tree. It was the only radio we had with us. Guess the machine gunners ran out of ammo or the barrels got too hot. My take on the place is that these are pretty decent folks so I'll try to get to know them. I don't want to lump them together with other Brit forums right off the bat. I don't like being type cast before I've even opened my mouth and I won't do that to them. thegunny- no problem I don't know if you ever heard of Camp Carol Vietnam I posted it a few days ago in USMC post.I was also part of the cleanup crew when a F-105 blasted a Coast Guard cutter.The one I was in we called for cover fire from a Army converted Tango or Zippo Boat and their shots were good they dropped two 105 right on target except we were the target it killed my Boat Skipper the Radioman and blew off the front Gunners leg I was lucky I only lost hearing in one ear.I could understand because my Boat was going as fast as it would go and I know accidents happen I never could blame anyone because they did the best they could under the conditions.

I understand the Brits feelings that the blu on blu is mostly one sided...as one side is doing the most shooting. The media hype is gripping those living in quite desperation...with all the immigration problems compounding the local perceived and real threats. The media dragging this incident back into the front pages will probably dissapear to the back of anna nicole or dubbya's buildup for an air strike on iran.
The Brits are already on thin ice with the Ayatollahz boyz. Hellfire those Iranians were a pretty friendly lot before the '79 revolution I knew quite a few of the Shaw's family in flight training here in Texas...liked some of them...seemed to be a good lot. I'd hate to see a war with our peoples suffering from it. Damned if we can't ketch a bunch of those rev guards way out in the sand and clean their hourglass...perhaps cooler heads will prevail...but if Iran goes nuke remember their oath 'DEATH TO AMERICA' 'WIPE ISRAEL off the map...they didn't say fog London or Fondue Bourguignonne or even dutch treat. Putin and his ruskies are worried about America World Police...but somebody has to tame the lions and keep the wolves from the door. Who better that the U.S. Military? Our ideal is to kick in the door and announce 'I'm an American Soldier and I'm here to set you free' But it's like that line from the Stanley Kubrick flick where the jarhead sez something like:
