Hello all, as I said I am from Texas, never been in the military which I regret. I came close to joining to Corps in my early 20's, talked a lot with my uncle who is a 20 year retired Marine but when it came down to it I chose the freedom of being able to do what I want when I want and not to be forced to do push ups in the rain etc.. At the time I did not deal well with authority. Anyway, I have developed an interest in military tactics and equipment etc.. in my "mature years", as well as a great appreciation for the importance of a supreme military power and I am always raising questions in my mind while watching the Military channel etc.

This is why I joined this forum, I hope to learn a lot here and thanks to all who are serving and have served for you sacrifice.
