Was great duty if you didn't mind the Sound of Freedom ( whistling shitcans ) at all hours.

Hal 63-64 I was in chage of Auto Hobby Shop on Seaplane Base.Great Duty .

Ahh. the Old Seaplane base...not as many birds orbiting there....and not as low as at Ault Field.

Hal the only thing I didn't like about Whidbey was it was raining the day I got there and it raining the day I left.

Edit...it was clear the first week I was there. Loved it...but for the next 5 years...pea soup with occasional breaks. Winters are nasty in the sense that the humidity makes it constantly chilly...like living in a glass of ice water.
