Hello, everyone. Name's Trish Edmisten, and I'm glad to be a part of this site. Though I work for my local government, I moonlight as an author and last year I quietly released a fiction book whose main character is deployed to Iraq. I've made media appearances and the book has enjoyed modest success. I've always intended for this book to help others, and when I saw the articles about the treatment our troops get in the military hosptials, I realized I had the answer. I made the decision from here on out to donate 100% of my book's royalties to our nation's military hosptials. Welcome to the forum. Jump on in and get to know the folks in here. Large majority are veterans, and the rest are those that want to become veterans. (there are a few exceptions of course)

Depending on the day, and whether or not the coffee was strong enough or even available, some of us can get a little cranky, but that generally wears off after a while. These folks will grow on you...wait an see.

I'm an Air Force brat that Joined the Army "I wonder why" in 1981 as a 13F Forward Observer (Artillery) and ETS in 1988 as E-6 (Ssgt). My last assignment was with A Co. 1/504 PIR at Ft. Bragg before that I was with HHB 320th AFAR.
