Well the Ozarks are one thing... but Colorado is altogether different. I'd love to find myself in Colorado some day.

I am regretful for participating in an event that has cost me my career. I cannot tell you how I have disgraced myself as well as my family and friends and even though I have filed an appeal with the Navy I would not blame them if they did not upgrade my discharge. I came from a good home, a bit strict and so when I got out I went wild with my freedom, I drank for the first time, had sex for the first time and listened to older sailors that said smoking pot once would not hurt, I knew better but am paying the consequences for being a follower instead of a leader. One thing for sure to be dishonored is one lesson that will go with me the rest of my life. I was to go to A-School and become a Seabee, I am a good builder and welder but was not honorable when I should have been. Loosing honor is something very hard to get over.

My name is Jeremy, I had a chance to be someone, ruined it by following sailors that were doing wrong and instead of being a leader, I followed along, I received an OTH RE4 from the Navy, it has been almost a year since that disgraceful time and I do have an appeal filed with the Navy, however, I feel you just have to pay the consequences for your decisions, I should have known that, hopeing for the best and will be determined.

Thank you. I feel strongly that if my path in life is the Navy then this appeal will go my way and I know I will be a stronger person than when I first entered. I can never go through the front door again but I believe there is a door for those the Navy wants. I will be positive and continue on.

Hi from Julie, 21, with a boyfriend wanting to join the Army or Marine Corps!

A scary and uncertain time for me at the moment, but will support my boyfriend with whatever he decides.

Hello everyone, I am going into 11th grade and am 100% sure what i want to do and that is fly for the army. My goal is to go to embry riddle under what i hope is a scholarship for the army rotc, but if not i will gladly go under no scholarship. When i graduate i want to fly helicopters, my preference is the apache. My question is to do this, would it be better to be a warrant officer or become a commisioned officer? thanx!

My advice to you would be finish your education first then look in to what you can gain from either Warrant Officer verses the Officer corps, My preference would be Warrant Officer but that is my .2 BTW welcome to the site I hope you find out the answers your looking for. cheer

Thanks. I think it's wise to get as much input as possible before making any decision of this type. Certainly my boyf is doing that.

Hello everybody,

My name is Steve and I'm presently in the middle of a three month, almost self-destructive workout regimen, haha.

I have been in a long-time deliberation over what branch of service I want to join. I have long since considered that the Air Force was for me but I was overweight by their standards as well as the Marine Corps, however am currently fit for the Army.

I decided that I would take three months to lose the necessary weight to enlist, working out and running/swimming every day until muscle failure. If, after those three months, I'm still unable to meet the Air Force weight standards, then so be it. If I work my ass off and still don't meet the standards, I can live with that. It's the fact that if I go ahead and take the quick route and enlist in the Army right now and maybe I don't enjoy it, I'll always kick myself for not at least trying to lose the additional pounds.

So, after the three months, if I can't enlist in the Air Force, I'll gladly walk myself down to the Army or the Marine Corps offices and sign my papers and prepare to serve my country in whatever fact I can.

Thank you.

Though I feel like I should probably give a qualifier for my statement about not enjoying it. The only reason I say that has little to do with thinking I won't enjoy the Army and more to do with knowing that I hadn't given 100% to try and enlist in the service that I felt I would most prefer (due to family reasons, everyone in my family who has served has served in the USAF).

If I give it my all for three months and still fail to meet the standards, I can live with that. I'll know the Army is the right place for me, in that case. My line of thinking is, what's three more months to determine the next four years of your life? If I get in and realize the Air Force isn't for me, then there is always Operation Blue to Green and I'll sign myself up for some of that 11B goodness.
