Best I have found here in MT is to go buy some Steakems from Wall Mart of Any store that has them, get some hoagie rolls, fry up Onions and green peppers. Enjoy. And do not forget to add the cheese. Now you can also make a Cheese Steak Hoagie. Same as above, but add lettice and tomato. Now we are talking. Add some Genny lits and you have a meal fit for a King. TEE TEE. Or come to my neck of the woods and I will make them.

Well, for starters..you usually float about on water and have to wear silly pants [ helps if you can dance like Gene Kelly and Dennis O'Connor - if you want to get women to notice you, otherwise they're too bust drooling over Marines - just ask Gunny ]
oh, and welcome to the site..you have the beer run..and none of that ' lite' stuff... Float like a Lepidoptera, Sting like a Hymenoptera |

Okay, guys, here goes.
First of all, I've heard all the jokes, the jeers, and the catcalls. You ain't gonna say anything I haven't already heard. I'm a retired Army musician. No, I didn't say RETARDED Army musician - I said RETIRED. Except for a coupla things. First, I still perform. On multiple axes - euphonium, bass trombone, and tenor trombone. There is a military connection. When I'm armed with my bass trombone, I call it "The Howitzer." When the volume and the intensity goes up to fortissimo (that means FREAKIN' LOUD!), well, I've been known to lay waste to entire viola sections. I never took any prisoners. Lying there with ears bleeding, they begged for mercy. I'm not a violent guy, so I dropped it down to mezzo forte. They were grateful. But I do see 'em reachin' for ear plugs when I lube up the slide. Life is good. U.S. Army, Retired |

Eupher:
welcome aboard.. my father used to say that military musician was the best job in the army.. The band got to march the troops to the dock, play them onto the ship, and serenade them as they left for the ' front'.. then you greeted the returning ship and played the troops back to barracks. The rest of the time you lead the parades and sat about polishing the brass and and rubbing rosen on the bows... best job in the military next to the motor pool where you could walk around in shortsleeves showing off the grease-smeared to the elbows, wiping your face with a dirty rag so the CO thought you were working hard...
