It's Marine-speak. It basically means, "Hello and welcome. So very pleased to meet you. I hope you enjoy the forum." The usual response to this would be-- "Grunt, bark". Which would be "thank you for the welcome, I do think it is a nice forum and shall enjoy my time here." |

Hi everyone! I have been reading these forums for a while now, and just decided to sign up today. I recently joined the Navy & will be shipping out on March 19th. I'll be training for a position in IS, and I'm so excited and anxious to get going! It's nice to have a place to come and share your thoughts and opinions, as well as read what others have to say. At least I know I'm not the only one who has questions about all of this stuff. Take care!

Well I see, that really does explain the phonecalls my ex used to get, all you heard on his end was animal sound with a WTF? in the middle of it  He was Marine, but got to say Navy is far better ~Put the bar pretzels down, My boobs are not here for target practice.~ ~Never draw fire, it irritates everyone around you.~ |

Hello everyone, thought i would sign up here because you can never have too many sources of good hands on information... As for myself im currently a MP in the nasty guard and work full time for their counter-drug program and also have a background in NBC and civilian law enforcement... And i guess thats about it (ive never been very good with this whole intro thing haha)

Yeah we have def done our fair share of flood duty, not that bad for us tho... We usually sit around and pull "security" while the other units are playing in the mud or filling up sand bags haha

Hello everyone
Just a little about myself, I was active duty Air Force for 3 years, and now I am serving in the Army National Guard just completing my 6th year of military service. I am getting ready to deploy to Iraq in the next few months so my activity here may be kind of sparse for awhile. I was looking for a place to have some good clean conversations with fellow soldiers/marines/sailors/airman. Looks like this is a good place to call home...lol |

Hallo to all. This is my first post and so yeah...
I'm enlisting next year (as I'm only 17, sighs) for the USAF and I plan to use ROTC first while I get a degree in aviation mechanics. My goal is to fly asap. Possibly go into the Academy, too. Oh yeah, go Screaming Eagles! I went into the gas station today and asked for five dollars worth of gas.... The clerk farted and gave me a receipt. |
