HEY amvet!! I know you from mil.com, but I am sure you don't recognize me. I am not aware of the option to change your user name, other than to just start a new one. Maybe another Mod or TOW will know how. Wink

For those that don't know me, over at mil.com I go by eightchaser. I chose to use my alternate handle here...new site new name. I've spent some time on a few different forums sites, mostly military and police, and am a moderator on one of those. I enjoy discussions on all topics and have always done my best to keep my debates clean. I'm looking forward to spending time here; though like with the others sites, when I'm here most others will be sleeping. Oh the life of a night shifter. Cool

Thanks for the invite Dad.

Welcome aboard Tommy, I knew you would make this place go. Glad you dropped in.

Oh yeah...for those of you that don't know me at one of the other forums....I have spent a lot of time around the military, most of my life as a military brat or psuedo brat, then a dependent, and a strong supporter. My family history is one of a very STRONG military background.

Hope to have time between work and studying to partake in some good debates!

Isn't it, though??? But it's ripped off from a movie. :P Not my own...I'm not quite that witty.

Hey, Dad...I'm glad I dropped in too. Maybe during my semester break after finals I'll have more time to cruise around and check things out.

Cool, I am glad. I know it's tough to work and school at the same time!! If anyone can do it, you can!! Still thinking about taking classes there too!

You can upload your own too, just need to have it on your machine, or have a working URL. Hey Ricky, how's it going!!

Bar thread, yep there is no bar thread. I don't see a problem, but then that is what I said at mil-dot too!! We know what happened there!!

oh well, I guess it's all me anyway, so it doesn't matter too much..if a mod can fix it or let me know how to do it,fine, if not..well, I'm Amy anyways..lol. Big Grin And I DO recognize the name, though, and ty and others for the welcome..It feels like 'old home week' here. Smiler

And yet not a one person yet have I seen yet online here who just wants to spout venom, thank goodness. I can handle a lot, but right now, I just want to go where the discussions are intelligent and not full of vitriol, and "this must be the place", as that old boogie song sung by tennessee ernie ford goes..Wink The holidays are not going to be kind to me this year, and even more than usual this puter will be my life..and it's good to know that their are 'other sites' out there, if ya'll know what I mean. Wink
