Thank you for the effervescent welcome...

Gunny..glass houses/stones.. still have the pin- up of you in ' recreational attire ' from the old jargon site...[ 8 x 10 glossies on request from the Witch ]..

would have been here sooner but I had to don Kevlar Speedos, lather up with WD40 and fight a rear guard action against computer infiltrators.. luckily the tech-savvy pre-schooler next door was able to lay down cover fire while I added sandbags 'round the machine gun emplacements..

Seems I got hit with a spyware/malware/adware cluster bomb and a homepage hijack to boot.. still mopping up and have an IT buddy coming in, at great expense [ two!!! cases of imported brew ] to mount a counter-offensive and drive the buggers fully out..

hopefully, by Monday, I'll be fit for decent company again...

If you will scroll down to the "Veterans" (forum) then click "Open Discussions" you will find information on the VA co-payment increase. You will see that when we lobby hard enough, we can keep the ripping-off of veterans, down to an amount lower than the politicians desired. We did get higher co-pays; but avoided the dreaded prescription co-pay increase.

82Dad.. good to hear from you.. hand't realized how many refugees from various websites were washing up on these shores...

the re-enactment was just fine, sir.. any time I get to blow-up Americans - er [ disclaimer to Homeland Security - this is meant as a jest/ puckish humour and in no way implies that I am prejudiced against G.W.Bush or America - Aye Luv Hoo Hess Hay, meester ] - in a friendly spirit of cameradery and shared booze, its a great event..

Wasaga adds a bit to the regular fun times in that it has a naval component in keeping with the original historic event..wherein the American ' fleet ' sank the Schooner Nancy and the Nancy crew and allies enacted revenge in a spectacular scenario that should have been made into a rousing movie years ago, except for the fact that the US ultimately lost [ making for bad play in Peoria ]..

still, if you change history, a la U571, and cast a pretty boy from Dawson Creek or that 70's Show, in the lead it might do well at the drive-ins...
