I can't believe I forgot how I had done it..I think I just clicked on my name and went to edit the profile and did it but can't find out where i did..man.. |

click your own screen name, view user profile, then when that comes up, click the edit profile link on the upper right.

No, it appears like mil.com and other boards. Once your screen name is registered, there is no changing it. You may have to cancel your account and start all over. I'm not sure what permissions the mods have, but I recall a thread over there about screen names being changed and not sticking. Since you are new, you might try starting all over.

quote: hon, I was able to change MINE..don't know if it was a glitch or what but I had the same problem..posted asking a question about it..then was able to do it..even kidded around about being able to endlessly change my name and become a 'sybil' of sorts, lol! But thing is if it was a glitch it has been fixed since I think because I can't find it anymore...either that or it's in front of my face which is why I can't find it...or it is only available for a short period of time when you start the account.. I'm not sure which... |

I go by Dane46, a few might know me from mil.com. I am here after seeing 5's thread about it. I have nothing against mil.com nor any of the people there or the moderators. I am here because of infopop over there is ridicules! Well one caveat; I am not particularily crazy about the personal attacks made there, though I do feel liberals are open and fair game! I will probably be asking questions alot until I am more at ease with how things work here. Especially acronymns and such (Mil.com was my first forum site).
I certainly see a lot of recognizable handles here! I am a retired Army E-8, since '93. (The demo's won and I didn't want to see another destruction of the military as I had seen under previous demo regimes. I am extremely religious, very opinionated though I will try to see your point maybe not immediately, conservative and probably the best way to describe myself is by what my troops everywhere said about me; I will do well anywhere as I like people and can adapt, though "I am an asshole at times I am a lot of fun!" I am soon to be 59 years old, married to a prior service Army gal (mom was a WAC), and a 10 yr old daughter still at home! We just recently, May 2004, moved from Talahassee, FL to Chincoteague, VA and love it. Hope to have some lively discussions but am more inclined to watch what others have to say rather than responding. I have noticed GW's handle mentioned here and would like to say I am more in agreement with him than most who posted at mil.com; so let the chips fall. |

I have notice that under the name is a place for location. How do you correct your profile to put up a location? I find that a interesting innovation!
