Tow Gunner, I agree with everything you say. We need to have some 'class' in this forum. Foul language is not part of professionalism and usually indicates that the person using it has no other way to express himself/herself forcefully. We must keep in mind that most people ask us questions and look for a reasonable answer. In general we must get away from the 'low down' image that the US services still have among some people. What I would like to see and wish is an easy way to insert my own avatar like you have with your tow gunner picture, simply out of my own files, no official Army rank.

If you have a picture you want to use, you first need to post it to a webserver such as photobucket or any number of photo hosting webpages. You will need to reduce the photo or avatar to a maximum of 100 by 100 pixals. You can select custom avatar by then linking your profile to this photo.

I don't know of any regular member in this forum that does not represent himself in anything less than a professional manner. I include myself in this assessment. We do get our share of posers and those whose only aim is to antagonize veterans, and generally we are able to draw them out and deal with them publically. As a rule we do treat everyone with courtesy and respect, but that only goes until the real personalities or feelings come out against us for whatever the reason. Then the gloves come off.
