Hello everyone,

I'm Dan, I look forward to learning and sharing with this forum. A little about myself: I'm 22 years old from Lancaster, PA. I'm a senior at Chestnut Hill College in Philly where I major in Political Science, minor in Biology and Classics. I also captain the Cross Country and track teams.

I graduated from USMC Officer Candidate School last summer ('08) and now I've decided I'd rather be a frogman so I'm currently working on getting a contract to go to BUD/S. I'm experiencing some speed-bumps and I'll need a waiver for partial color-blindness but this is what I want out of life and I'm not gonna let one MEPS personell color vision evaluation stop me. I may fail, but I never quit, GET IT!!!

I'm an extremely motivated dude, I love military training, and I love swimming and surfing. I also enjoy reading books about humans in extreme situations. I am 5'10, 174 lbs, and I HATE writting papers for school even though that Is probably the best way to learn academic type stuff. I'm ready to learn from all of you, and also share what I know about training, Marine Corps OCS, and whatever else I can contribute.

Welcome aboard! I can tell you for sure that the cross country and track will come in handy for you! Not so much the political science major, other than fitting the requirements for a degree. Learn to enjoy writing as it will be a major part of being a well rounded officer. Those that write well, generally do very well in the Corps or Navy. That and those for whom you are leading will benefit greatly from your writeups on thier performance.

By the way, I'll take a scotch on the rocks.

I am new here and just getting the feel for the site. I am trying to promote my designs for supporting our troops and all military. We have done custom shirts for welcome home and custom Military Moms and Dads shirts. Please help me get these designs out to help support our military. Semper Fi.
